The holiday season kicks off as soon as we transition from our costumes to our couches on November 1st. Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years are the trifecta of holidays, and which better way to start it off with than everyone’s ultimate eating holiday – Thanksgiving. Turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, roasted veggies, I can barely contain myself just thinking about it. The excitement builds as we get closer and can finally escape the day-to-day of work and school and lay in our beds stuffed to the brim. And who gets us better than the secret lives of Manhattan’s elite?
Â
When it’s the last couple of days before break and you just want to go home.
And then you finally get home and put on sweatpants that you won’t take off for the next 4 days.
Arriving to Thanksgiving dinner like
When your siblings and cousins are bragging about all their accomplishments before dinner
And then your family members start asking about your plans for the future and life in generalÂ
The face you make when you see the turkey heading for the kitchen table
When you’re trying to decide what to try next
When you’re the last one at the table finishing off everyone’s crumbs.
And when everyone is “too full” for dessertÂ
And then when it’s finally over and everything’s been eaten, you can get right back in bed
