I spent the day touring the various bathrooms on campus, which let me tell you – kind of awkward. There’s really nothing sketchier than a girl creeping in and out of the bathroom armed with her iPhone snapping photos of toilets. Luckily (I swear it was a miracle) no one actually witnessed me taking these pictures, and all these bathrooms were mercifully empty when the photos were taken.
I started at the obvious one – the bathrooms at the Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics. Seeing as the building was just constructed within the past few years, it’s not really a surprise that they boast one of the nicest bathrooms on campus.
While not technically an academic building, I happened to be at Union Court and snapped some pictures of the bathrooms that are right there within the Memorial Union, because they have lots of stalls and are cleaned regularly.
This hidden gem was taken in DeMeritt Hall, which boasts one of the nicest bathrooms on campus, something I never would have expected had I not ventured in during my travels. Home of the physics department, the building was recently constructed in 2008 replacing the old DeMeritt Hall, which explains it’s nice (and colorful) bathrooms.
Apparently science majors have all the fun (when it comes to bathrooms at least) because another nice bathroom I stumbled upon was in the home of the Earth Sciences department located in James Hall. They even have fancy hand dryers which kind of resemble hovercrafts.
McConnell Hall used to be home to the business department before the construction of Paul and is now home to the Pyschology department which was renovated recently. Fun fact, this was the only bathroom I found that had a lounge area complete with a padded bench and a mirror, just in case you and your friends want to start meeting up to hang in a bathroom.
I also rather enjoyed the bathrooms at Hewitt Hall, mainly because I thought the colors of the tiles were pretty.
The first floor bathrooms near Albert’s in the West Wing of Kingsbury Hall were a bit messy, but when I went upstairs to the second level West Wing bathrooms, I managed to hunt down a cleaner, nicer bathroom in W288. I could have spent the entire day in there looking at all the different bathrooms seeing as the building is the size of a small hotel, but I figured this one was good enough.
I ended up skipping some of the lesser known buildings, so I do apologize if I missed any other hidden gems and completely forgot to mention your favorite bathroom on campus. But now next time you’re in a part of campus you’ve never been after drinking a large iced coffee, you’ll know what bathrooms will be the most pleasurable to pop into!
