This week has me itching for spring to make her debut! A smile plants on my face when I look up the weather and see a whole week ahead of 50 degree sunny days. I do not know about you, but the bright, yellow sun quickly revives me from seasonal depression. When it’s not too frigid to enjoy the outdoors, there are many opportunities added to the list of things I now want to accomplish. Here are just some of my favorite spring activities that I am looking forward to:
- Visiting the UNH Horse Stables: Â One thing that always cheers me up is going to the UNH horse stables. Whether you have a week slammed with tests or miss the interactions with your pets at home, you can visit the horse stables seven days a week between the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Going for Outdoor Runs/Biking: Exercise is a great way to relieve stress and feel productive about your day. Going on outdoor runs and biking trips with friends is fun and rewarding. UNH has beautiful routes to explore, such as College Woods and our exceptional downtown.
- Visiting the Durham Food Trucks: I have not been to these yet, but I have only heard positive reviews from my peers. On a nice, sunny day, stroll downtown to enjoy diverse food options from numerous trucks. These trucks are accompanied by plenty of picnic tables to sit at and enjoy the new food with your friends.Â
- Sunrises and Sunsets at the Beach: I love going to the beach. As the weather gets warmer, think about taking a drive to Hampton Beach or numerous other beaches that stretch along the coast. There are plenty of yummy food places to indulge in, or you could sit and enjoy the beauty of the beach. It is also refreshing and a great start to your day to do a cold plunge in the ocean.
5. Relax and Read in the Sun: Spend time outside with your favorite book or play your favorite tunes while absorbing the sun’s rays. It is a great way to unwind and start building your summer glow!
