Wow did summer fly by. It seems like just yesterday I was moving out all of my stuff from Lord Hall and saying goodbye to what was the best year of my life so far. Now, I’m here with just a few days left of summer before I move back to campus to start a new journey at UNH. Looking back, this was one of the best summers of my life.

I started a new position at my job, which I had been yearning to do since I started there 3 years ago. I’ve gained so many cool experiences, met so many cool people, and made many lifelong friendships just from this one little “promotion.” There’s been ups and downs, but that comes with any job and I can’t wait to go back during winter break. :)

Now for my days off (haha).

I spent this summer with a lot of new people, but also with old friends. Some of these people may not know it, but if you’re ever reading this (and you know who you are), thank you for everything.

To my friends:

Thank you for the memories, whether it be my first music festival, the amazing lobster bake on a beach, or just spilling the tea at work. I will never forget these experiences and I will definitely be telling my future kids stories about this summer.

To the Boy:

Thank you for putting up with my crazy friends. Thank you for accepting me for who I am. Thank you for introducing me to loads of new music and experiences I would have never had without you. Most importantly, thank you for teaching me my worth and what I deserve in life. Without even realizing it, you’ve given me a fresh start and a new pair of eyes on how I view the world and the relationships I have in my life.

To my Mom:

Thank you for putting up with my BS. I know it’s weird having me home, especially when I have to come home at a certain time (JK I love you!!!) You are forever and always my rock as I will always be for you.

Summer is just like the waves at the beach. They sneak up on you, break, and then disappear. They aren’t there for that long, but they always come back.

xoxo,
