Top 10 Netflix Girl Crushes

If you’re anything like me, you like to neglect all of your responsibilities once and a while and escape into an outside reality that is not your own. Specifically, whatever show your currently watching on Netflix. As we sit watching some of our favorite shows, it’s hard not to develop “Girl Crushes” on some of the characters. Here’s a list of what I suspect to be some of your Top 10 GC’s of all time. The list is in no particular order, of course, because lesbihonest they’re all too amazing. 

1.) Olivia Pope of Scandal 

Pope resembles the idea of brains and beauty and is the epitome of a successful, independent woman who doesn’t put up with anyone’s crap. Not to mention, she has the President of the United States on speed dial…

2.) Casey Cartwright of Greek 

Anyone who has seen Legally Blonde can appreciate the whole “fun, blonde sorority girl turned studious, hard-working law student” which is exactly what we find in Casey Cartwright. We don’t care if she goes back and forth from Cappie to Evan the entire series because let’s face it, they’re both easy to look at. 

3.) Julie Taylor of Friday Night Lights

Let’s start with the fact that Julie can still rock the straight across bangs and look cute and end with the fact that Matt Saracen is in love with her… 

4.) Brooke Davis of One Tree Hill 

If you started OTH from the beginning you watched B. Davis transform from a promiscuous high school cheerleader to a strong woman with her own successful clothing line. Brooke’s kind heart and loyalty have us wishing we were P. Sawyer (Peyton) who had a friend like Brooke to help us in times of need (Not to mention that dimple…)

5.) Blair Whaldorf of Gossip Girl 

Anyone who has seen even one episode of GG knows that Blair Whaldorf rules the Upper East Side (and rightfully so). Although we don’t always agree with Queen B’s moral actions, as the show goes on we begin to see B does have a heart and envy the love and affection she receives from Chuck Bass. 

6.) Serena Van Der Woodsen of Gossip Girl 

We can’t have B without S now, can we? If you say you haven’t loved this blonde bombshell from her time in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, then you’re either blind or a liar. The GC only continues to grow throughout Gossip Girl with Serena serving as a fashion and social icon to the viewers. Her only flaw? Bad taste in men (Cough, cough Dan) XOXO

7.) Jessica Day of New Girl

First off, Jessica can rock the hipster glasses like no one else which is something we all secretly wish we could pull off. But she also shows us how to be your weird and awkward self while still looking hot. Something we can all probably afford to learn a lesson or two about…

8.) Addison Montgomery/ Sheppard of Grey’s Anatomy 

If you’re a true Grey’s fan, you’ll remember Addison’s first appearance at the then Seattle Grace Hospital when she abruptly surprises her (sexy) cheating husband and his new mistress. We quickly grow to see past Addison’s cold exterior and appreciate her title as a recognized prenatal surgeon who saves newborn babies and their mothers on the reg, all while looking fabulous. 

9.) Donna Pinciotti of That 70s Show

Let’s face it, you probably started watching That 70s Show because it was the only thing on when you got home late. Regardless, you fell in love with the squad you watched hanging out in the basment and focused on Donna especially. Her quirky personality and way of life definitely draw the viewers in. 

10.) Alex Vause of Orange is the New Black

But wait… Did that quirky personality and way of life lead her to become an international, drug smuggling lesbian serving her time in a women’s jail?! Whether she’s Donna or Alex, one extreme to the next, she still has a place as a GC in our hearts.
