Top 5 Must Have Shoes

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UNH chapter.

Stiletto, kitten heel, boot, sneaker, flat, flip-flop, clog…OK, maybe not clogs, but if there’s one thing all women love, it’s shoes. Within this wide array of options are a few staples that every UNH girl-or female in general-should have in her closet.

Basic Black Pumps
No woman should be without a pair of closed-toe black heels. This simplistic style may not grab you while perusing for new footwear, but they’re classy, classic and go with virtually everything. Check out Steve Madden or ALDO for the latest trends with this traditional heel.

Warm Winter Boots
Walking around the UNH campus when it’s below freezing and the ground is covered in ice, warm boots lined with fur or “fur” and knit styles are essential. UGGs or Bear Paws are both cute and cozy.

Knee High Boots
Knee high boots come in a variety of colors, fabrics and styles. Every female should have at least one pair whether they are black, brown, suede, leather, heeled or more flat. Boots make the perfect transition from day to night, staying casual or dressing up your look. Check out ALDO or DSW for a plethora of boots to choose from.

A Good Pair of Gym Sneakers
Exciting? Not really. Essential. Yes. Every girl needs a good pair of sneakers to work out in. Spring break will be here before you know it! This is pretty much a no-brainer; brands like Nike and Reebok are always safe bets for quality work-out footwear.

Cage Heels
This style has only become popular in the last couple of years but it appears to be sticking around. Take the basic high-heel form but with strips covering the entire front of the foot. Cage heels add a little va-va voom flair to any outfit. Charlotte Russe and Steve Madden both have cute Cage heels.

With these five styles of shoes any closet will be complete for all occasions.
