1. Get settled into your dorm room
· Unpacking and getting everything organized in your new room is essential for helping you feel comfortable and at ease in your new home.
· Here’s a tip – use boxes or bins to organize your things. If you label them, that will help a lot as well.

2. Order any books you need
· Ordering books ahead of time – use Amazon if you don’t want to pay the ridiculous prices – will help you skip the crazy bookstore lines on the first day of classes.
3. Fill out your calendar
· We all get especially swamped with emails the first week of school, the majority of which are important meetings and events that you may not want to miss!
· By writing down these important dates on your calendar, you will not have to worry about missing anything.

4. Prioritize!
· It is hard to balance everything that comes with the new school year – catching up with everyone, attending all the social events, getting settled into classes, and more!
· Make sure you remind yourself what is most important, and what can be pushed aside for later.
5. Have fun :)
· The first week back at school is often one of the most fun times of the year – Classes are not difficult yet and the work has not piled up. Make sure to take advantage of every social event that you can!
