1. Wayne Goss – Makeup artist

This man has been working in the makeup industry for the past 15 years and boy, does it show!  From getting rid of acne and blackheads, to applying the correct makeup for your eye & face shape, to beauty product reviews, this man has got it all figured out.  His accumulation of knowledge is in part because of his dislike of heavily retouched images of models in tv, movies, magazines and ads.  In his website, he writes: “Editorial makeup was never my passion.  The images are so heavily retouched that it portrayed an unrealistic image that I didn’t want to be a part of.”   By saying this, Mr. Goss shows he is an advocate of real beauty and on his YouTube channel he shows us that there are ways to get what we want without needing to manipulate our photos with our computers.

Michelle Phan – Makeup artist

Who doesn’t know Michelle Phan?  She is YouTube’s # 1 Makeup/Beauty Guru.  With over 5 million subscribers from countries around the world, Michelle is a very busy teacher with many students. As an art student, she translated all of the skills she gained to use with her makeup.  Then at the request of her followers, started making how-to videos on YouTube and now, she has become a beauty representative of Lancome, has been talked about on tv and magazines and recently, on August 2013, she launched her very own first makeup line called “em” which is a Vietnamese word (Her parents are Vietnamese!) meaning “you”, which is used affectionately to address loved ones. This girl is quite the artist, many of her makeup videos have a story attached to it and she loves making costume videos dressed up as her favorite characters with all of their makeup looks. Phan is an advocate of real beauty as well and advises us to take good care of our skin so we can age gracefully and naturally.

Jung Saemmool – Celebrity Makeup artist

If you’re a fan of K-pop or just Korea in general, then you’d know that some of the best makeup tips and products come from Korea.  The trend in Korea is always natural beauty, so that naked face makeup look? Yeah, they definitely got that look down. This YouTube channel is from Korea, but fortunately for us, the editor added English subs as well!  These makeup looks are absolutely elegant and gorgeous.
