It comes without a doubt that Taylor Swift has become the artist of our times. With her insanely successful Eras Tour, Taylor Swift has skyrocketed her fandom and broken record after record. How she even impacted the Nation’s economy is beyond me.

With her recently released album1989 (Taylor’s Version) on October 27, 2023, little miss Swift just keeps delivering and we are here for it. And what better way to celebrate this year’s Halloween than to honor your inner Swiftie with your best friends. So, gather your besties and channel your favorite Taylor Swift era, because this Halloween you’ll show it off. Here are 10 Taylor Swift Eras inspired costumes to wear with your besties on the most awaited spooky night of the year.

1. Taylor Swift (Debut)

Taylor Swift (Debut) album is all about channeling your modern cowgirl. Grab on to your favorite sundress (ideally white colored), typical cowboy boots, and add a final touch with a nostalgic necklace. You can also style your boots with a sequin dress, which is yet another apparel of the era.

2. Fearless

Fearless calls for fairytale aesthetics. With songs like “White Horse” and “Love Story,” you feel like you’ve been charmed into a princess story. So, get into the theme of this era with a corset or princess looking dress, very Victorian-esque. And don’t forget those golden accents that are a staple of this iconic era.

3. Speak Now

Get your purple on, because Speak Now is all about this color on glittery fringe dresses with silver accents. Manifest that teenage girly!

4. Red

Name a more iconic fashion staple than Taylor Swift’s “Not a lot going on at the moment” shirt, I’ll wait. If you can recreate her “22” music video outfit for this era costume, you will slay this Halloween for sure. Black shorts, heart shaped sunglasses, and a black Chaplin hat, uh! Iconic. However, if you can’t recreate or find this shirt for sale, a plain white tee will do as well.

5. 1989

For this era, find yourself a white two piece set with daunting black boots and get ready to shake it off. Oh, and remember to color your lips in a scarlet red! (Note: Do this for the Red era too!)

6. Reputation

Reputation is all about being a baddie. Show off your villain era in newspaper patterned attires, black leather jackets, oh and if you can add a snake somewhere in your outfit, you’re ready to be the actress staring in everybody’s bad dream.

7. Lover

This era is all about being soft and lovely. Baby pink and blue clothing is a must in your costume and don’t forget the hearts! Oh, and you are very much encouraged to color your hair with pink streaks and draw a heart around your eye, just in case.

8. Folklore

One word: cardigan. Folklore gives off cottage core aesthetics, so it’s essential to wear nature-esque outfits, nude colors, and of course, the iconic cardigan. As for makeup, keep it nude and simple, and if you can get your hair into a bun, that would be a wonderful detail to represent this era.

9. Evermore

This era is a follow up to Folklore, so they are a bit similar in terms of aesthetics, but a staple of this album is a red, checkered flannel or outdoorsy jacket. And don’t forget the french braid to come back stronger than a 90’s trend.

10. Midnights

For this era, channel the night sky into your costume. Blue color accents are a must and if you can manage to slay a fur coat, you completely nailed it. Best believe you’ll be bejeweled to the party!
