Both of you have multiple jobs and are full-time students, how do you manage to maintain a healthy relationship?
E: We do a lot of things together and for some reason we always end up working together.
T: Yes! We are esa pareja laposa minus the pda, people always ask us how can we spend so much time together but how can we not! I love being with Enrique- I’ve had some great moments with him on my side.
What has been your favorite date?
E: Valentine’s. We have this tradition where we make pizza, drink wine and bake a cheesecake. The food has evolved over the years: even making a heart shaped pizza.
T: I’d have to say that our 3-year anniversary. We disguised ourselves as tourists and spent three days in Rincón-each day celebrating a year together. Our daily schedule included indulging local food, soaking in some sun at our gorgeous beaches and a few other crazy activities like parasailing!
What advice would you give to other student couples?
E: I think that the most important thing about being in a relationship is being honest. It will definitely save you from a lot of unnecessary fights.
T: We have a lot of common interests, so that helps a lot. Also, we make an event out of daily activities- like cooking. We try to eat-in every night so we often cook together or Enrique cooks as I indulge with his company and a glass of wine.
What are your plans for the future?
T: We are both embarking new chapters in our life- we graduate in May- but we want to keep each other in our lives. So we’ve decided to stick around the west side. Our next adventure will be opening our own coffee shop.
