Down on the west coast we got a saying: “Afternoons spent with the holy trinity are a must.” Last Thursday was no exception with Saks Fifth Avenue’s, Fifth Avenue Club hosting an Informal Fashion Show at my favorite restaurant in Mayagüez, Costa.
The Fifth Avenue Club’s the heart of Saks Fifth Avenue; home to expert personal shoppers, each offering a stylish eye that aims to make you look amazing. Through a personalized experience you’ll get access to a shopping oasis.
In charge of the show was Valerie Biaggi, a consultant for the Fifth Avenue Club who happens to also be a personal shopper with an envious fashion style. From the moment I saw what she was wearing, I knew we were in a for a treat. After an exquisite buffet (champagne included, of course!), the show started with a brief welcome from Valerie where she explained that the purpose of the show was to give clients and potential clients an insight of the fashion trends in store for them.
Our eyes were served with pieces from Stella McCartney, Gucci, Parker New York, Alice and Olivia, Moschino, and even some Yves Saint Laurent on the side. It was a feast for women of all ages, with looks that could go from day to night with just a quick change of shoes and makeup. Here are three of my favorites:
This dress by Alice and Olivia had a 70’s velvety vibe that made it perfect to pair with matte cranberry lips and an Yves Saint Laurent purse that had everyone gasping.

Ever dreamed of sleeping in Gucci PJ’s? Well how about wearing them for brunch with friends?

Last but not least, this Parker New York blouse paired with high waisted pants  was the casual outfit you were searching for last Saturday night to go have tapas and wine with your besties.

After the show, you were able to shop any of the 15 looks seen on the catwalk. For those who bought some goodies there was also a gift card giveaway. Valerie’s been the mastermind behind this marketing strategy at Saks Fifth Avenue and will continue to brings events like this to Mayagüez.
