While HBO’s final season of the fantasy/drama mega hit Game of Thrones might be two years away (?!), last night’s season 7 finale has left us with enough to talk about—at least for now! In honor of seven episodes, here are the Top 7 moments from Game of Thrones Season 7 Episode 7: “The Dragon and The Wolf.”

7. Theon Greyjoy finds his balls, metaphorically speaking.

When Theon Greyjoy betrayed Robb Stark back in season 2, it was hard to pity him as he spent the following seasons being tortured. His betrayal was one of the biggest blows that the Stark family took, and so it felt like karmic justice for him to be punished. However, as his torture grew crueler and more inhumane, it was hard to stomach—and hard to want anymore. It took him a few bouts with his PTSD before he was able to save Sansa at the end of season 5, so it seems only natural that it took a while for him to finally find in himself the courage to go save his sister Yara—and that’s a rescue mission we can’t wait to see play out.

6. The Dragon and The Wolf Do It.

As the title of the episode suggested, we finally got our long-awaited Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen hook up. It was sensual, sexy, and incestuous. So, very GoT indeed. Regardless of the squick factor, these two work so well together it’s hard not to root for them. Is it possible the Iron Throne will see these two together in the end?

5. Wight’you doing?

As far as presentations go, this one was a success for Team Dragon and Wolf. Those first few seconds before the wight attacked were filled with tension and dread. Was the wight still in there? Had it turned to dust? How will they convince Cersei Lannister without it? But alas, it thankfully only needed a nudge from the Hound to do its thing. The face on Queen Cersei was one to behold, while the overwhelming interest on Qyburn’s was one to be wary of.

4. Run, Jaime, Run.

In an expected turn of events, Queen Cersei admitted to having no actual intention to ride North. However, in an unexpected turn of events, Jaime Lannister does not only have actual intentions, but he follows through on his word. Leaving Cersei behind for truly the first time ever, Jaime goes off to join Team Dragon and Wolf in order to fight, presumably, for a world in which his future child can live.

3. Blue Eyes White Dragon.

Yes, I know, the joke has already been made. Still! The moment The Wall came down, something that had been foreshadowed all season long, was incredible—and terrifying. Not only because our resurrected dragon does indeed shoot blue fire, but because the Night King was riding on its back like a Targaryen cosplay. Even the moments that preceded it, with the Army of the Dead emerging from the trees, was chill-inducing. It appears that the Great War is truly here.

2. Rhaegar Appears!

For a while, a major complaint of mine had been that the show had never showed us Rhaegar Targaryen. GoT has long-trusted its viewers to keep up with its intricate war histories, familial histories, and magic histories with just the exposition of the characters to guide us (or Google, if you need). Last season, it delved into some flashback territory, courtesy of Bran “I’m The Three Eyed Raven Now” Stark, but so far none had really taken place this season. All that changed last night and boy was it worth it. A quick flashback, that confirmed beyond a shadow of a doubt Jon Snow’s true parentage and his real name (Aegon Targaryen, in case you’re wondering), showed us our first ever long-awaited look at Rhaegar. Looking quite similar to his younger brother Viserys, but with just enough love for Lyanna Stark in his eyes, this glimpse was short but exactly what we’d been waiting for.

1. Littlefinger Loses.

Was there anything more satisfying in last night’s episode than seeing Sansa finally figure out Littlefinger’s scheme and use every single thing he had ever taught her to fight back against him? I don’t think so. In what was the highlight of the episode, the terrible Sansa/Arya rivalry plot was put to rest via plotwist!, as the two conspired together and with the help of Bran successfully took down the one person trying to destroy their still-rebuilding house. Together they brought true justice to their father as they killed the one man who set everything in motion and started the Game of Thrones. Consider this the pack’s first meal this winter.

Did you like last night’s finale? What were your Top Moments? Do you agree with our #1? And how do you feel about possibly having to wait until 2019 for the final season? Let us know!
