Unfortunately, the most beloved season of the year has come to an end which marks the start of complaining and pouting about the cold weather and school work ahead of us. While we will miss the freedom and warmth of summer, it’s time that we realize we don’t need to be sad that it’s coming to an end. Here are some of the reasons why the ending of summer and the coming of fall is nothing to cry about:
1. Fall is PRETTY.
The seasons are changing which means so is the color of the trees. We can kiss summertime sunset instagrams good-bye and say hello to the colorful autumn scenery uploads. P.S. Have you seen the quad in the fall? Going to class may just be enjoyable when your walk contains that view.
2. Fall coffee flavors are back!
Whether you’re a Dunkin of a Starbucks kind-of gal, there’s no question that you’re excited for the return of pumpkin spice, cinnamon, and gingerbread flavors.
3. New year,  new you!
Although it’s still 2015, new years resolutions can be made now that a new school year has started. As hard as it is to get into routine, joining a club or the gym can make adjusting to the new season much more easy & enjoyable.
4. We have an excuse to go shopping.
The ending of summer can make us long the feeling of the sun shining on our skin and sand between our toes. The good thing about not being able to wear bikinis and short-shorts anymore is that you get to buy a whole new wardrobe. Get out to the malls and re-stock your closet with all your fall favorite clothing. You can never own too many sweaters.
5. We get to pamper ourselves.
The start of the school year calls for an excuse to treat ourselves with the relief we need. There’s nothing like rejuvenating your skin, hair, and nails after a rough summer that created dry skin, calluses and brittle hair. Freshen up with a relaxing facial, massage or a mani/pedi!
6. New seasons of our favorite TV dramas!
Law and Order: SVU; Grey’s Anatomy; NCIS; Scandal; The Voice; Chicago PD; CSI; Criminal Minds… Get your popcorn ready! The return of the juiciest shows has come at last.
7. Shaving your legs is no longer a priority
Need I say more?
8. It is now acceptable to look forward to Halloween.
It’s time for costume shopping, pumpkin carving and haunted hayrides. We can’t deny that we still enjoy dressing up and carving pumpkins no matter how old we are.
9. Daylight saving time ends, an extra hour of sleep!
After November 1st we will all be a little less grumpy waking up for class every morning.
10. Hot cocoa and cuddling weather.
Whether you’re cuddling with your man or your big comfy bed, there’s nothing like snuggling up with a cup of hot chocolate when the temperature plummets.
