With college being one of the biggest adjustments in our lives, it’s hard to stay healthy both physically and mentally. Getting older means more responsibility and that means it’s hard to take care of yourself in the healthiest of ways, everyday. Everyone woman in their college years deserves to be the best they can be when it comes to all aspects of their lives.
Coming to college over a year ago and remembering how hard it was to adjust to only dining hall food and all the loads of work, some nights I was literally lying underneath a list of things I had to do but could never get done. I was far behind on sleep and never felt like I was having a “me” day, because there was always something else I had to get done. Of course being busy is just one of the things that comes with going to college but it’s important to know that working on yourself is just as important as working on your assignments.
Here are 21 things that all college girls should live by to sustain a healthier life style:
1. Drink more water everyday.
2. Cut bad influences out of your life.
3. Have more lazy days.
4. Get more manicures and pedicures.
5. Let yourself eat dessert, and don’t feel bad about it.
6. Find a skin care product that works for your skin.
7. Laugh until you feel like you just got a workout in.
8. Get more sleep.
9. Relax with the alcohol.
10. Compliment yourself more.
11. Find a hobby and stick with it.
12. Try and workout, even if it’s for 30 minutes a day.
13. Pick a day out of the week and don’t eat meat on that day.
14. Spend time with people who truly matter, and forget the ones who don’t.
15. Write about your day to day experiences more.
16. Stretch in the morning or before you go to bed.
17. Put your phone down when you’re out with your girls.
18. Wear less makeup during the week.
19. Read.
20. Inform yourself on what’s actually going on in the world. We will be next to run it.
