Horror Stories of Past Valentine’s Day

February is upon us, which means a new season of horror stories from attempts at a perfect Valentine’s Day.  But, as hard as we may try, there are bound to be some fails.

1.     “My sister was out with her boyfriend and her boyfriend’s friend stopped them and went to the store to get a box of chocolates (for me). So my sister comes home and runs into my room to give them to me, only to see that my boyfriend was over. I already told this boy I had a boyfriend but apparently he didn’t care. So, I had to hide the chocolates and pretend like they were nothing to my boyfriend and then explain to this kid that although it was nice of him, but I was still dating someone.”

2.     “I’m single… does that count?”

3.     “One time, me and my ex boyfriend were going on our first date for Valentine’s Day and he said ‘I’ll be there soon, I have to stop at the mall!’ So I was thinking he would get me a gift, but he came over with a new sweatshirt on and left the tag on so I knew. No gift for me!”

4.     “Last VDay, my boyfriend took me to Jacky’s Waterplace for a romantic dinner. I ordered sushi, which he doesn’t like, but he decided to try some anyway. Not even five minutes later, he told me his stomach was feeling weird. He got up and ran to the bathroom. After about 20 minutes in the bathroom, he came back to tell me he just vomited and wanted to leave the restaurant right away. We had to tell the waiter, who waived the sushi from the bill. After e-mailing back and forth with management, we got a $50 gift card, which we have yet to use. Don’t think we ever will!”

5.     “He got me a card for Valentine’s Day that read, ‘Will you be my Valentine?’ and crossed out the word ‘Valentine’ and wrote ‘Boyfriend’.  We broke up, but I still have the card.”

6.     “I remember going to the bathroom and I kinda felt my period coming, but figured I was fine since it wasn’t supposed to be coming yet. I got to my boyfriend’s house and got through our gift exchange before he finally told me that there was blood all over my pants. Nice.”
