Sorority Recruitment As Told By The Plastics

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at URI chapter.

Don’t get me wrong, recruitment season is a great time of the semester, but it is tough. It’s an entire week spent meeting new people, chanting loudly and walking in heels. Whether you’re a rookie recruiter or it is your last year going through the process, there are multiple struggles that most recruiters meet on a daily basis throughout the week. Although “The Plastics”, or the mean girls in Mean Girl’s are only in high school, they seem to know exactly what this process is like…

When getting ready before each round…

When your membership VP asks to approve all of your outfits for every round…

When you’re greeting a potential new member at the door…

When your room is shown for house tours and one of the girls compliments it…

When you finally can take a lunch break…

When you see a girl that you know from high school at your house…

When you have an awesome five minute conversation…

When you have to say your door chant for the 100th time today…

When you get a stain on your shirt/dress in between parties but you have to be ready for the next one in two minutes…

When you finally get to go to bed after a long day of recruitment…

Happy recruitment week, fellow collegiates!
