During this holiday season of thanks, I am thankful for a lot of things. I am thankful for my friends and family, my cats, myself, etc. Something that I didn’t have last year was a family in Eddy Hall. Last year, I got the call that changed my whole life. I was asked to be an RA, something I had worked really hard to become. When I started training this summer, I was so scared. I was with three returning RA’s (Cali, John and Drew), and Jack and I were the new babies to the building (also Joey became the new Hall Director in Eddy this year). Every day that passes, I am reminded how lucky I am to be here.
This article is giving thanks to my staff, who makes every day brighter and every laugh a little louder.
Joey,
Thank you for laughing with us and always keeping us organized (especially with your handy dandy agenda lists for meetings). Thank you for always facing problems with us.
John,
Thank you for always being open to talk without judgment whenever I’m feeling happy or sad. Thank you for playing guitar and blessing my ears with great music.
Drew,
Thank you for inspiring me to appreciate the Earth more. Thank you for caring about animals, it gives me so much hope. Thank you for bringing me along when you’re grabbing food.
Cali,
Thank you for always having a vine reference or a song to sing when reacting in conversation. Thank you for inspiring me to want to live a less wasteful life, I admire how adamant you are about it.
Jack,
Thank you for being super sassy and coming up with such funny jokes on the spot. Thank you for always having an optimistic answer when I’m feeling worried.
