American Student Emily Harris

I’m currently in the USA on the GO Program and I found this week’s Campus Cutie at my host university, NDSU! Her loud and bubbly personality stands out just as much as her pink hair; everybody meet Emily Harris! – Michaela.

Class Year: 5th year. I am graduating in December!
 
Her Campus USC: What’s your major and what do you like about it?
 
Emily: I’m doing fashion design because it allows me to be creative and Spanish because knowing Spanish makes travel easier. I love learning about Spanish speaking cultures.
 
HC: What do you do when you’re not at university?
 
Emily: I work or grab food and drinks with friends.
 
HC: What’s your favourite colour?
 
Emily: Orange
 
HC: What’s your favourite TV show?
 
Emily: Seinfeld
 
HC: What’s your favourite place to travel?
 
Emily: Italy- It’s a beautiful country and the people are so nice. Also I can use my Spanish to get around there!
 
HC: What’s your favourite thing about NDSU?
 
Emily: Greek Life! I have had a lot of fun making memories and meeting new people in the Greek community.
 
HC: What’s something interesting about you?
 
Emily: I love riding motorcycles!
 
HC: If you could go on a trip to Australia, what would you want to see?
 
Emily: A real life Kangaroo! They are so curious looking; I almost don’t even believe they exist!
Michaela is a second year Communication student at the University of the Sunshine Coast, majoring in Journalism and minoring in Public Relations. She chose this degree because she has a passion for writing and editing. Her dream job would be one where she can write for national and international media, while being paid to travel and eat the best food the world has to offer. Michaela's other passions include travel, cooking and running. The next places on her list to visit are USA and Canada, then southern Africa. 
Jasmin Maastricht is a third year Journalism student at USC, the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of the Her Campus chapter at USC, as well as being one of the 2013 USC Student Mentor's, freelancing for online publication WeekendNotes and interning for Australia's number one online fashion store, Fashionfile. Her passion is Journalism but besides that, Jasmin has always had a strong interest in fashion and entertainment, completing six weeks of work experience with Noosa 101.3fm Community Radio Station and has had the amazing opportunity of working with Australia's number one teenage lifestyle magazines, DOLLY in April 2011 and again in April 2013 and Girlfriend in February, 2013. She has also scored herself internships with the Sunshine Coast's local newspaper, the Sunshine Coast Daily and with Caboolture News. She has been working with both papers eight months now. She has previously worked with Darby Radcliff with the Her Campus Ole Miss chapter while on exchange in Mississippi as well as working with the M s Observer magazine and has never looked back.
