HC USC’s Music Writer Rhys Hurren has put together a new list of hit songs heating up Spring this year! Be on the look out over the next few weeks and comment below about what you think of some of our faveourite singers new music! You can also add this list to your Halloween party mix this year!

Miley Cyrus

Rhys: Well summer is well on it’s way and there is a new craze hitting mainstream commercial radio stations. R’n’B and Hip Hop beats have been around for almot the past three decades, but it’s only since recently (namely Miley’s infamous twerking) and a host of other exposures that hip hop is about to make a massive comeback.

With the domination of house music icons such as David Guetta and Calvin Harris seeming to have run its course for the past three years, it’s time for change. It is now time music has a shake up and with the new hipster, street smart and crazy go lucky trend of generation Y setting the scene in the Western world.

It seems only fitting the music that originated from the burrows of Brooklyn and the Bronx host this new urban movement. So here is the list for Spring twenty thirteen. Some of the music is dating back a few months, but still feels fresh.
