Ever wanted to give back to the homeless community in Los Angeles in a creative way?  Here’s your chance.  The University of Southern California has had the amazing opportunity to become the first college campus to run a Houses for Change campaign.  Houses for Change is a national project that raises awareness for homelessness and in doing so, raises money for low-income families.  Houses for Change helps promote the mission of Family Promise™, which is a nonprofit organization looking to mobilize communities in order to help the homeless and those with low-income households.
The process for getting involved is simple. Â All you have to do is decorate a box with markers, paint, stickers, and so forth to make your box look like a little house. Â Then, take the box home and collect loose change until a date that is set by the participating organization, which in this case would be USC. Â At that time, you’ll turn the little house in to the determined location and will have combat hunger and homelessness in Los Angeles.Â
Help USC raise awareness for the less fortunate by getting involved with this great campaign.
