What is your favorite thing about USC?:
I would have to say my favorite thing about USC is being able to rage on any day of the week. Not many schools, and I know this as I am a transfer, to which you can find something to do any night of the week.
What about USC Hockey?:
Growing up I played since I was 4 years old. It was natural for me to join the team this year. This year I was left wing, and as a team we were able to sweep FUCLA in a 5 game series for the coveted Crosstown Cup. We made playoffs, but fell short to UW in a shootout in Seattle. I would have to say I enjoy the comradery our team shares. Often times we travel out of state, and get a chance to go bar hopping as a team, where absolute chaos and debauchery ensues.
Why do you feel sports are an important part of your USC education?:
I believe employers do take notice to athletes as being team players who not only achieve goals in the classroom, but excel in a competitive environment. I know if I was an employer, I would take due notice to having a well-rounded individual in my workplace.
What’s your favorite place to eat on campus?:
I would have to say Freebirds. As Freebirds is a staple at every college in Texas, I was groomed to prefer it over Chipotle.
What is your favorite thing about being in a fraternity?:
I enjoy an “anything goes” type of environment. One where midgets, zebras, fratting around with an american flag, and endless amounts of alcohol are a given. I guess you could say 3am drunken sing alongs to the likes of The Outfield-Your Love are the cherished times of my life, and I wouldn’t give that up.
If you had a million dollars, where would you go, with whom, and why?:
I would most likely go to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico (my vacation destination of choice) and I would take my entire fraternity, girlfriend, and long time best friends with me. If you haven’t been to Cabo Wabo, and raged alongside 30-40 year old married couples….I feel sad for you.
What advice, if any, would you give to a freshman entering USC during his/her first year?: Enjoy your youth. Join a fraternity or a sorority. Get involved on campus. Remember that you’re only here a short period of time, and hell, you’re paying out the rear to go here…so make it worth it!
