30 Signs You’re From The North

I got my first taste of the South last year, when I moved down here to attend school. I always visited Florida for vacations, but living here gives you a completely different perspective on what living in the South is really like. 

 

1. You had no idea what Norts were

2. or Jack Rogers

3. You don’t understand what the Publix sub rave is about

4. Laughing when you see restaurants claim they serve “New York style pizza”

5. Missing Poland Spring water

6. and real bagels

7. You don’t understand the obsession with monograms

8. You miss the changing of seasons

9. You never carry an umbrella with you

10. Missing Chick-fil-a when you go back home

11. Blasting country music because you can’t listen to it up north

12. Being overwhelmed with the number of blondes you see on a daily basis

13. Never having worked at Publix, while almost all your friends down here have

14. Your friends are scared to drive with you because of your road rage

15. Unconsciously calling your SunPass an EzPass

16. You wear flip-flops all year long, regardless of the weather

17. You can’t fathom how some people have never seen snow

18. You order Sweat Tea every chance you get because it’s the best thing ever

19. You’re the first one to get Pumpkin Spice Late at Starbucks because you miss Fall weather

21. When everything down here is only 20 minutes away
