It’s been established that fashion weeks aren’t just about the shows. The street fashion seen outside the shows is enough to gather a whole season worth of inspiration for putting outfits together. As we look forward to this year’s fashion week, it’s only suitable to look back at New York Fashion Week 2019 and the most memorable street-style looks the city saw.

Bold Suits

This Russian fashion influencer was one of many to wear the very trendy power suit. The blazer is the center of this outfit, drawing attention with its bold orange hue. The puffy sleeves are seemingly drawn from Renaissance style or straight from a Disney princess’s wardrobe. Even with such detail, the outfit remains modern in its uneven hem and signature belt. The pearl necklace and mini box purse accentuate the suit and add a classy touch.

Monochromatic Blues

Minimalistic outfits have been quite trendy for some time now, and the latest hit within this trend is the monochromatic color attire. This baby blue outfit is chic in all of its simplicity and synchronized color palette. The bell sleeves of the sweater flow perfectly with the loose floral-patterned trousers. The white boots aren’t there to steal the spotlight from the rest of the look, but rather add to the minimalist look. The seemingly endless belt and retro sunglasses serve as perfect accents.

Stripes and Scarves

It isn’t new to see suits on the streets of this season’s New York Fashion Week, but it takes quite a bit to make it stand out, and this outfit does exactly so. The striped matching set gives off a loud statement in all of its bold colors. The warm color palette ranging from a yellowish nude to maroon and black makes this suit noticeable but not hard on the eyes. The most prominent piece is the scarf. The mix-matching between this accessory and the suit stresses the look’s boldness. Whether used as a hijab or an accessory, scarves were beautiful accents to this fashion week’s street style looks.

Pink Tulle

Neon colors made their way back into the fashion trends, and honestly, we’re not complaining. This look makes a beautiful use of such vivid colors. The high-low, bright pink tulle dress is styled as a top and matched with wide leg ripped jeans. The endless layers of tulle are eccentric in every way, especially paired with the neon green heels. The combinations of neon pieces were some of the most eye-catching looks of the season.
