Now that the Florida Strawberry festival in Plant City has come to an end, it is time to reflect. Personally, it was my first year attending this strawberry phenomenon, and it will not be my last. Here are a few points to consider for next year’s trip to this family fun activity.
To begin, the Florida Strawberry Festival is very crowded and popular in the short duration it is open. When you arrive to the surrounding area outside the actual festival, you will find many places to park. Most of the parking lots have a price tag of ten dollars; however, I was a lucky one and found a small lot for only five dollars.

After your walk from the car to the festival, you will purchase a ten-dollar admission ticket and immediately be greeted by a multitude of food trucks and stands. Food at the strawberry festival include, but are not limited to, strawberry shortcake, strawberry coated nuts, and strawberry crepes. You can quench your thirst with the plentiful drinks, such as strawberry milkshakes and strawberry lemonade. I highly recommend the strawberry lemonade, especially since it comes with an adorably designed cup you can keep.

Aside from the carnival rides, games, and food vendors, the Florida Strawberry Festival has headliner musicians and bands that perform live onsite. Other forms of entertainment at the festival this year included magicians, Pompeyo dog show, and battle of the bands. There were many different days and times for the shows, so no matter when you visited, there was a performance of some sort.

What are my thoughts? All in all, I had a blast. The food was fabulous and really innovative despite the majority of it being made from a singular fruit. Also, the rides were thrilling, carnival games were really interactive, and the employees were so friendly. Strawberry-themed merchandise was sold everywhere and really set the tone.
I highly recommend adding the Florida Strawberry Festival to your bucket list, and I hope to see everyone there next year!
