Amazon storefronts are addictive. It is so easy to add to cart and have that trendy item within days or even just hours. I have fallen victim to this spending in the past for sure. A resolution of mine is to be much more conscious with my spending, so I wanted to my recents purchases, and let you know which were worthwhile purchases and which could’ve been left in the cart:

  1. Spa Headbands

I have mixed feelings about these. Am I wearing it on my head as I type this? Yes. Does it properly fit my face? No. If you’re going to buy one of these, I would recommend getting one that has elastic in it. This will make sure it keeps your hair out of your face.

  1. Trendy Water Bottles

99% of the time, no. I have a Stanley cup from a few months ago and it’s great, but I could’ve easily kept using my hydroflask. Unless you are in dire need of a new water bottle, I would skip this one. The water bottle cabinet in my apartment does not need more clutter.

  1. Silk Hair Ties

Yes. Yes. Yes. I have seen significantly less breakage with these. Love them.

  1. Silk Pillowcases

Invest in a good quality one! This is one I would spend the extra money on to ensure it is comfortable for sleep and actually good for my hair. It was an adjustment after sleeping on cotton pillowcases for so long, but my hair feels significantly better in the mornings. I 100% recommend the brand Kitsch; their company is woman-owned, vegan, and cruelty free.

  1. Trendy Earrings

Again on the quality! Most of these earrings will tarnish so quickly. Worse, they may irritate your ears if you have sensitive skin.  It is so much better to have a few staple earrings that you always can wear than to have large amounts of low quality earrings that will probably end up in the trash in a month.

  1. Any form of bag

You definitely have a closet filled with bags already. Leave it in the cart.

If you’re on the fence about whether or not to buy a trendy product, leave it in the cart and see if you remember about it in a few days. Most likely, you’ll wonder what that even was next time you’re on Amazon. Purchasing with intention is trendy.
