A new campaign has recently been launched named #SmearForSmear, which encourages women to post selfies on social media sites with their lipstick smeared to raise awareness for cervical cancer.

The #SmearForSmear campaign hopes to spread knowledge of cervical cancer and cervical cancer testing. This movement was created by Joā€™s Cervical Cancer Trust and was designed to remind women to get annual pap smears – the main way to detect cervical cancer.

So far celebrities such as Supermodel Georgia May Jagger and Rita Ora have taken part in the campaign.
