Wellness Wednesday: Drinking Water To Stay Healthy This Fall

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at USF chapter.

Hello collegiettes™!

It’s easy to remember to drink plenty of water when it’s 95 degrees outside. As the weather gets a little cooler, we may forget to drink as much water since the Florida heat isn’t so strong. But just because we’re not sweating all the time doesn’t mean our body needs less water! Drinking at least 7 glasses of water goes for every season of the year, including fall.

Here are some benefits of drinking water not just during fall but all year round:

1) Helps maintaining body fluid balance. Because our bodies are made up of around 60% of water, drinking enough water every days helps to keep our bodies hydrated. Not only water is good for keeping our skin beautiful, but it’s also good for keeping our internal organs hydrated and even blood circulation flowing perfectly.

2) Helps keeping a healthy weight. Did you know we can confuse being hungry with being thirsty? So before reaching for that cookie jar, try drinking a full glass of water! Because water doesn’t have calories, it also works as a perfect substitute for calories-filled drinks.

These are just a few of the many benefits that drinking enough water does to our bodies. This fall, don’t forget to carry your water bottle around, collegiettes™!
