What activities are you involved in on campus?
Well, I’m currently a member of Delta Zeta, I play for USF’s women Club Volleyball Team, I’m an undergraduate representative for USF’s Board of Trustees, I’m volunteering for Reading Partners, and I’m also a University Ambassador for USF! Since being at USF I have also been on GO Team, Greek Council, Senate, and Hayes Healy’s RHC!
Which activity are you most invested in and why?
That’s such a hard question! I think it’s a tie between Delta Zeta and GO Team. I joined DZ my freshman year and its kind of where I started feeling more connected to USF and it opened up SO many opportunities for me! GO Team I feel enhanced my leadership skills and helped me appreciate my friendships that I had made here.
Some most people don’t know about you is…
I feel like no one really knows that I am in love with Celine Dion! It’s kind of a mother/daughter bond that my mom and I share. My mom used to play her CD’s while she was pregnant with me, so I guess it was only natural that I loved her music! I saw her in concert a couple of years ago in Vegas, and I teared up. A lot. Yup. It happened.
What is one piece of advice you would give your freshman self?
I would tell myself to be appreciative of myself and my life at that time. So often I was trying to become better at everything and I wanted to feel mature and grown up. Now that I’m getting closer to that point in my life, I would tell myself that “you are good enough” and to enjoy the blissful young moments in college!
What are your post-graduation plans?
That is such a scary question! I’m definitely planning some post-grad travel with my friends and family before the real world becomes the reaaal world. Ideally, I would love to stay in the city and work in the Hospitality Industry! But I’ll honestly go wherever life takes me as long as I’m happy and passionate about what I’m doing, so maybe check back in year or two?!
What is your favorite weekend activity?
I love going to new restaurants around San Francisco. Especially brunch, what San Franciscan doesn’t like brunch? I have a very extensive brunch bucket list that I’m planning on accomplishing by the end of this year! Besides that, I love running or or hanging out in Golden Gate Park.
So far, what has been the highlight of your college experience?
My college experience has taught me so much about myself and about life in general. There has been so many happy and exciting moments over the past three years so I can’t say I have one in particular. I would say just the overall move to San Francisco would be the highlight of my experience here!
