Skincare! Skincare! Skincare!

Believe it or not, I love having a skincare routine.

Washing my face, day and night, makes me feel like a brand new person. If there is one slogan I religiously live by it’s: “TREAT YO SELF!”

Which is exactly what I do to start and end each day.

I would say I have slightly oily skin, with a concentration on my nose and T-Zone area.

If you can relate, below are the products I use, the order I use them in, and a few tips that I recommend.

But don’t fret, even if you do not have the same skin type as me, you may still find a new product to incorporate into your skincare routine!

All of the products listed below are cruelty free.

My Skincare Routine:

Step 1: Wash your face!

I cleanse my face with the African Black Soap bar from Shea Moisture. This product washes away all the excess oil that build ups on my skin. When you are washing it, use a clean face towel to dab, not rub, your face dry. My face is left feeling fresh and clean. Can be bought for $3.97 at Target.

Step 2: Use a toner

After cleansing, I take a cotton ball or a cotton pad to apply the toner, in a gentle upwards motion onto my face and neck. In the morning, I use an exfoliating toner called Pixi skintreats Glow Tonic. At night, I use the Thayers Witch Hazel Alcohol Free Toner Rose Petal. Both products can be bought at Target. The “Glow Tonic” costs $15 and the “Witch Hazel” can be bought for $10.95.

Step 3: After toning, I spritz the Mario Badescu Rose Water facial spray on my face and neck. This product can be purchased at ULTA for $7.

Step 4: Apply moisturizer

I finish my routine by applying a moisturizer. In the morning, I use the Pacifica Cactus Water Lotion, which can be purchased at ULTA for $14. At night, I use the Pacifica Wake Up Beautiful Super Hydration Sleepover Mask, only available at ULTA for $15.

The most important tip I would give you all is to be gentle with your skin, especially around the eyes.

Also, any product that you are applying to your face should also be applied to your neck.

It may be time consuming, but the way I feel after I’ve applied all these products is so worth it.

That’s it! After spending a good 15 minutes applying these products, I feel fresh, clean, and most importantly: Glowy.
