Spring into Exercise with Empowering Beats

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at USFSP chapter.

Spring break is just around the corner and the weather is looking fabulous, so that means lots of people are getting out their running shoes, swimsuits, and beach balls. It’s a good time to reform your exercise regime, and every workout routine calls for a pumped up playlist! When I am working out, I like to have a funky beat playing in the background to motivate me, but at the same time, I like empowering music that has a deeper message behind it. For me, a good song to exercise to has to have contemplative lyrics, you know, something that can distract my thoughts while I am maxing out my cardiovascular system. Below are my top six songs guaranteed to inspire confidence and get you thinking while you exercise this spring!

#1 “Revival” by Selena Gomez

#2 “Flawless” by Beyoncé

#3 “Work” by Rihanna ft. Drake

#4 “Still Sane” by Lorde

#5 “Anything Could Happen” by Ellie Goulding

#6 “I’m The Best” by Nicki Minaj
