This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at USFSP chapter.

Winter Break is almost here! But first you have to ace those final exams.  Over the next few weeks final exams reviews will take over your life. Studying does not always comes natural, so try out some of these tips for ace your finals.

Create a Group. Study Groups are a great way to optimize the amount of material you know for an exam. Try forming a group with students who understand certain material better than you. While a study group is a great idea, be sure to work with people that aren’t going to distract you.

Find a Location. Being stuck in a dorm room isn’t the best idea when it comes to studying. Try out different spots on campus or even off campus that suits your needs. Maybe a library or a local Starbucks.

Set a Time. Look through your schedule and figure out what time slots you can set aside. Even if its only just 30 minutes a day, a little is better than none.

Flashcards. Flashcards are a fun and convenient way to study for exams, you can basically take them anywhere with you.

Create an Outline. Making an outline allows you to reread material covered in class while using muscle memory to write or type the material. This is a great option for classes that give you a final exam study guide.

Use Colorful Tools. Writing in color has been proven to help student remember things better. So while you are working out those math problems or drawing diagrams try using different colors.
