10 Reasons Why I Can’t Wait for Fall

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Utah chapter.

You all know what Labor Day means: the end of summer. No more white jeans or lazy pool days, it’s time for the temperatures to drop and school to kick in. While saying goodbye to summer can be hard there are definitely reasons to look forward to the coming months. So instead of mourning the summer join me in celebrating fall!

1.The Pumpkin Spice Latte is out, but more importantly it means that we are much closer to the Caramel Brulee Latte. Thank you Starbucks for helping me get through those cold mornings!

2. It’s time to don those leggings; my favorite “uniform” is almost here, every girl rolling into class with leggings and black boots screams that the leaves are changing.

3. Utah only gets even more pretty in fall, with the mountains literally changing from green to red and orange, it’s impossible not to go for a hike and snap the perfect instagram.

4. Scarf time is here, I wear a scarf 90% of the time because it’s the quickest way to look like you put effort into your outfit and distract from whatever is happening with my hair.

5. Halloween is only the best holiday for all college students. Decorations, costume parties, and candy, you can’t go wrong. No shame in picking a costume before September 1st, no shame.

6. Even though the U is the prettiest campus in the word, there is no avoiding the hills. Get ready to stop sweating on your way to class and no more giving everyone the “I swear I’ve worked out before” look. It’s all a thing of the past with the cooler temperatures.

7. Fall means that it’s college football season, it’s time to sport the red and cheer on the Utes.

8. Make sure to start saving up, because Black Friday is right around the corner. New boots and a crazy Wal-Mart dash and all the Pumpkin Spice Lattes you can drink to keep you awake through the night.

9. It’s finally time to put all 50 blankets on your bed and cuddle up with a good Netflix show.

10. Fall is really when I get into a good routine with school and work. I am the most productive when it’s too hot to sit out in the grass. When the leaves start changing it reminds me that next year isn’t too far away and it’s time to buckle down and work hard before that long Winter Break.

I am a current journalism student at the University of Utah. I have spent my years in college studying, traveling, and writing. I am a campus writer for the University of Utah and have my own blog Beautiful Detour. If I am not on campus I am hopefully off in another country meeting new people...or lying in my bed under a million blankets watching that day's netflix binge.
