I know it is hard for most of us to part with our favorite leggings, but we really should give jeans more credit. Â Try putting those leggings away for a few days and open your mind to the possibility of 4 different types of jeans that are perfect for EVERYONE.
Â
1. Â All Black Skinny Jeans:
Let’s face it. We all look good in black skinnies and they are flattering for everyone, and match just about anything! It is super easy to dress them up with an elegant top for a night at the bars, and even more simple to pair with a basic t-shirt for a more casual approach. However, people are often upset with their black jeans because they fade with washing cycles. Not to worry though, ladies, washing them inside out and/or freezing them overnight helps decrease fade and maintain that beautiful black that is as dark as your ex’s soul.  Â
2. Boyfriend/Relaxed Fit:
Many women are discouraged when it comes to wearing a more baggy fit, and that shouldn’t be the case! We see tall, and extremely skinny models wearing them and think to ourselves “I could never pull that off.” News flash- you can! They are amazingly comfortable, and fun to pair with crop tops, or more girly blouses, and soft shirts.  If you are shorter and want to seem taller, pair them with a cute heeled bootie or wedge to elongate your silhouette! With Summer right around the corner, boyfriend jeans are perfect for a sunny day out on the town. Â
3. High Waisted Jeans:
It is clear to say that high wasted is here to stay, and has been for the past 4 seasons. I’m all about embracing the mom jean and accentuating your waist for a flattering look. It can be challenging finding a nice fit for high waisted jeans, I suggest trying on a few pairs to find which style you are most confident in. They are also great for hiding that lower pooch. If you are self conscious about wearing belly-shirts or crop tops, no worries – high waisted jeans are to the rescue!
Â
4. Distressed Jeans:
“Yes Grandpa, I bought these jeans with holes in them.”  Sometimes it’s fun to look like a complete mess and show up with holes eating away at our pants.  Distressed jeans are very on trend right now, and to be honest, everyone should give them a shot. If you have a retired pair of jeans at home you never wear, give it a try! Use sandpaper, and cut holes yourself if you’re super crafty. If not, just about any store carries distressed jeans. Try on a few pairs and see which fit your style best. I wouldn’t recommend spending big bucks on them because they are already ripped, and could continue to tear, so create a budget that you would like to stick to. You can pair them with just about any top and shoes you’d like. Wearing them as a more relaxed look with a t-shirt, canvas shoes, and messy hair is effortless and adorable for school, or any casual setting.  If you’re feeling daring, pair them with a nice black top, leather jacket, and heels for a more badass look. Â
See, jeans aren’t so scary after all. Each of these styles can be incorporated and worn for your specific mood of the day! I’m not at all saying that it’s time to retire your leggings, but maybe give them a break and explore the lavish world of denim. Â
