Saturday Farmers’ Market at Pioneer Park
Just because it’s fall doesn’t mean the farmers’ markets are done for the season! Come buy some local fruits, vegetables, eggs, dairy, honey, baked goods, and other unique goodies before the Downtown Farmers’ Market is done for the season. They are open for business from 8AM until 2PM. You might even find some festive pumpkin spice treats!

Strut Your Mutt Walk
If you’re looking for something to do on October 14th, head to the Strut Your Mutt Walk at Liberty Park from 8:30AM-2:00PM. This walk helps to raise money for Best Friends Animal Society so that they can help homeless pets.  Plus, there will be plenty of activities for both dogs and people. Some notable activities offered throughout the day include: a pet psychic, canine caricatures, create a dog cookie, and make a dog toy. If you’re hungry the Theips Eats, Chow Truck, Taco Cartel, and Waffle Luv food trucks will be at the event, as well.

Fall Bonsai Show
Wanna do something a little different? Check out the Fall Bonsai Show at Red Butte Gardens. According to their website, bonsai is “the Japanese art of growing miniature trees in containers.” You can learn more on Saturday, October 14th (from 9:00AM until 5:00PM) or on Sunday, October 15th (from 9:00AM until 3:30PM). Plus, this event is free for students!

Haunted Aquarium
Head to the Living Planet Aquarium starting Friday, October 13th to check out the festive haunted aquarium. They will have spooky decorations, as well as special Halloween-themed events.Â

Haunted Forest or Haunted Hollow
If you’re down for a road trip and a good scare, head to the Haunted Forest or Haunted Hollow. The Haunted Forest is located in American Fork, while the Haunted Hollow is located in West Haven. They are both open Wednesday and Thursday from 7:30-10:00PM, and on Friday and Saturday from 7:30PM until midnight. Additionally, the Haunted Forest is also open Monday and Tuesday from 7:30-10:00PM.

Wheeler Farm Pumpkin Days
If you’re feeling festive but don’t want to go to something scary, head over to Wheeler Farm for Pumpkin Days. Located at the Wheeler Historic Farm in Murray, you can visit any day of the week. You can get in the fall spirit with their pumpkin patch, hay maze, and wagon rides.

Snowbird’s Oktoberfest
For German-inspired activities, food, and of course beer, head over to Oktoberfest at Snowbird. This is a huge event every year. According to Snowbird’s website, you can expect to be there with between 3,000 and 7,000 other attendees on the weekend.  You can go from 12:00-6:30PM on Saturday or Sunday throughout the month of October. The best part? Entrance to this event is free!
