If you’ve ever found yourself wandering around on the University of Utah campus, then you’ve probably been left with many unanswered questions. College is a very confusing time and I’m here to propose some even more confusing questions. Listen up Collegiettes; this is Asking for a Friend, University of Utah edition.
Asking for a friend: What really goes on inside those Build-A-Bear backpacks girls are sporting these days? How do they carry everything they need, are they actually students, and what are they hiding in there?
Asking for a friend: Why does the most terrifying building on campus happen to be the Psychology building?
Asking for a friend: Why have bus stops, sidewalks, and Trax been hit with the silent epidemic? How have we lost the art of small talk to headphones and downward glances?
Asking for a friend: Can someone please explain how the ankle destroying, accident prone Razor Scooter came back into fashion?
Asking for a friend: Why don’t they sell tampons and pads out of dispensers anymore?
Asking for a friend: Why does OSH feels like the high school experience of the 90’s I never got to take part in?
Asking for a friend: Why are there so many coffee shops hidden on campus that I just found out about?
Asking for a friend: Why hasn’t the Student Life Center been turned into a 24 Hour Fitness yet?
Asking for a friend: Why is “I like going on adventures, doing yoga and rock climbing” suddenly a part of everyone’s vocabulary?
Asking for a friend: How is it that everyone I used to go to high school with is now a “model” or a “photographer”?
Asking for a friend: Why is it that when you run into someone you haven’t seen for a while, they suddenly start appearing everywhere you go on campus?
Asking for a friend: Why is it that grown men are still leaving those stickers on their hats well into college, and for what purpose?
Asking for a friend: Why are the womb chairs more comfortable than my bed?
Asking for a friend: Why is college so confusing?
There you have it! Some rhetorical questions to ponder on the next time you’re making your way through campus. If you have the answers to any of these questions feel free to let me know the next time you see me on campus.
