Here’s a delicious recipe for some yummy but healthy Rice Krispie heart treats this Valentine’s Day. Bake a couple batches as an easy gift for friends or crank out a couple for your own enjoyment!
1. Melt 4 cups of mini-marshmallows in a pan with 3 tablespoons of butter
2. Add three drops of red food coloring and stir
3. Dump in 6 cups of Rice Krispies and stir again
4. Press into a greased 9X13 pan, and let cool for two or three minutes
5. Flip the pan of treats out onto a cutting board
6. Cut out shapes– like hearts– with cookie cutters for Valentine treats
If you’re feeling especially crafty, go the extra mile with sprinkles, candies, and dipping chocolate. No complaints here, we promise!
