Her Poetry: Poem to my Big

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Utah chapter.

You gave me a daisy, to represent my loyalty which I will always cherish.

I will always stand up for you, with you, and beside you in your wedding line.

When creepy boys hit on you, I promise to grab your hand and say, you’re mine.

My admiration for your intelligence and uniqueness with never perish.

When people say I look like you, my confidence goes from zero to ten

I will always think about you when fifth harmony sings, work.

After a few glasses of wine, I promise I’ll teach you how to twerk

I’ll call you this summer while you’re in DC so I can hear about all your men

I want you to remember how kind, beautiful, and loyal you are.

You’ve taught me how to love myself more than stupid-frat boys.

I loved the sex party you threw, and wish I could have bought some toys

After you graduate I will get attachment issues so don’t go far.

Our sorority has brought me a lot of things, most importantly you.

I appreciate you always driving to pick me up without fail

Don’t worry about the big world Shy, you will always prevail.

My dearest big, and loyal wingman, your little is going to miss you

I love Cabins surrounded by trees and words that combine into a beautiful story. Creating stories from my awkward life experiences is almost as great as listening to a rainstorm pattering against my window as I drift off to sleep.
