How to Make the Most of Your Spring Break Time

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Utah chapter.

We did it. Spring break is finally upon us, and I know that we are all super excited to hit the beach, and have a blast. However, spring break is only a week, so we have to make every single moment count and make sure that we make it memorable. Here are some tips on how to make the most of the time you have for spring break.

Finish all homework early –

Give yourself a break from school and get all of your homework out of the way early. This might sound terrible right now, but I promise you will be so grateful that you did it when you don’t have to cram all night on the Sunday before classes. Doing your homework early will also reduce your stress, and give you so much free time to do fun things over the break. You should get your homework out of the way so you can make every second of your spring break fun, and not have to worry about school at all.

  Make plans –

You should make plans for your spring break, so you can make sure that you won’t be spending every day in bed watching Netflix. This might sound dumb, but if you make sure you have something to look forward to every day, your spring break will be awesome. Planning out your spring break will help you do as many fun things as possible, and it will ensure that you enjoy every day that you have off. This is your spring break, so plan it out and make sure it is great.

Try Something New –

We all need to try something new every once and a while, and spring break is the perfect time to do this. Go scuba diving, climb a mountain, cook an incredible meal, or just watch a movie that you have never heard of before. If you try something new this week, your break will absolutely be unforgettable. You should make good decisions when taking this advice, but you should really try something new.

Don’t sleep your spring break away –

Sleep is something that all college students are lacking, but we shouldn’t spend our whole break trying to catch up. Yes, you should get more sleep while you are on vacation, but do not sleep the days away. Excessive amounts of sleep will not only make your spring break fly by, but will mess up your sleeping schedule. Try to get some sleep, but don’t waste your spring break by staying in bed.

Have fun things to do in your downtime –

Making sure that you have fun things to do in your downtime will make every part of your spring break enjoyable. You could read a good book, catch up on your favorite tv shows, or simply just go outside and enjoy the beautiful spring weather. These moments will be relaxing and serene, and having things to do in your downtime will make your days full and fun.

Visit as many people as you can –

Seriously. This will make your spring break awesome for you and everyone around you. Visit your grandparents, high school friends, aunts, uncles, cousins, siblings, and parents. Visit everyone you can and you will have a very high-quality spring break full of laughs and memorable moments.

Be spontaneous and adaptable –

Being spontaneous and adaptable can be pretty tough sometimes, but we should all try to break out of our shells and have a little fun. If you get invited to something fun, go! Be spontaneous! You will be glad you did. If your plans get moved around or something unexpected happens, just go with it, you will be way less stressed and have way more fun. Spontaneity keeps our lives exciting and it is really important during spring break.

Live. It. Up. –

The most important thing to do this spring break is just live it up. Whether you are going to Daytona Beach, or you are just staying home, make your spring break last and make it fun. No matter what you plan on doing just focus on having a blast and living life to its fullest. We only get a handful of spring breaks in our lives, so make them count.  Her Campus Utah wishes all of you a happy Spring Break!
