Procrastination can happen in all aspects of life – even sleeping. Getting out of bed can be the hardest thing to do, and some days, those extra few minutes are the only thing that can get you through the day. Here are some tips on sleeping in for the truly lazy.
Pick out clothes the night before – This way, you don’t spend needless time in the morning trying to figure out what you want to wear. Save that extra ten minutes for spending some quality with your bed.
Shower at night – if you are worried about your hair drying crazy in your sleep, put it in French braids for that beachy, Boho look. If that really isn’t your thing, blow dry before bed. Hair should remain relatively straight overnight.
Make breakfast easy – choose options that require little to no preparation, such as bananas or granola bars. Some things can even be made the night before, like smoothies or overnight oats. Quick and simple breakfasts can save you loads of time, which can be spent snoozing away.
Pack your backpack the night before – get all your stuff ready to go so that in the morning you can just grab it and go. Be sure to locate essentials like keys and your phone. This can save you at least 15 minutes each morning.
Use mascara that really stays on – and sleep in it. Now, I don’t recommend doing this regularly, but sometimes you just have to rock that second day mascara. Most days, stick to a regular skin care routine, and remove makeup before bed.
It may take a bit of prep work, but it will all be worth it in the morning when you can spend that extra 15 minutes of bliss in your oh-so-comfortable bed.
