The 2000’s were full of iconic pop stars, famous heiresses, fashion statements like no other, unforgettable music and movies, and so much more. It was the peak of pop culture if you ask me and I truly believe that there will never be another era quite as unique and fun as the 2000’s were. If you’ve seen Ariana Grande’s new music video thank u, next, you know that it portrays her in some of the most iconic early 2000’s movies such as Mean Girls, 13 Going on 30, Bring It On, and Legally Blonde. The video is linked right here, so go check it out, especially if you love those classic girly films like I do. Before seeing the thank u, next video, I had already known that I wanted to do something to commemorate the early 2000’s, but after seeing the video it gave me the inspiration I didn’t know I needed! Being a 90’s baby, I grew up in the magical era and still absolutely love so many of the same things that I loved back in the day, so I wanted to take it back and remember some my very favorite moments that the 2000’s gave us. So let’s take a trip down memory lane…

2000: Britney Spears released her second studio album Oops!… I Did It Again on May 16th.

2001: Lil’ Kim, Pink, MĂ˝a and Christina Aguilera gave us Lady Marmalade.

2002: Christina Aguilera released her iconic album Stripped on October 29th.

2003: Beyoncé released her debut solo album Dangerously in Love on June 23rd.

2003: the first episode of The Simple Life aired on December 2nd.

2003: the very controversial kiss that took place between Britney Spears, Madonna, and Christina Aguilera at the 2003 VMA’s.

2004: Mean Girls was released on April 30th.

2005: The Girls Next Door aired on August 7th.

2006: Fergie debuted her first solo album The Dutchess.

2006: Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, and Lindsay Lohan had a night out on November 27th.

2007: Gossip Girl aired on September 19th.

2007: Britney released her fifth studio album Blackout on October 25th.

2008: The House Bunny hit theaters on August 22nd.

2009: Miley Cyrus released Party in the U.S.A.

As you can see, 2009 was the end of a legendary era. Currently we are approaching the end of the 2010’s era, and all I can wonder is, where has the time gone?
