Sierra Aquino is an accounting major, an Alpha Phi, and a Business Scholar at the University of Utah. Sierra is incredibly passionate about being involved on-campus and the different opportunities that she’s found at the University of Utah.Â
“I joined Greek life to meet new people and find my home away from home. I’ve stayed in Greek life because I have met some of the most motivating and inspirational people I have ever met. I’ve found rare lifelong friendships, and I’ve made some of the best memories of my life through Alpha Phi. Greek life and the Greek community have shaped me into the person I am today, and that is an experience that is irreplaceable by any other.”
Sierra has gained a lot from being a part of the Panhellenic community at the University of Utah, as the Vice President of Marketing for Alpha Phi she has learned valuable networking skills that help her excel within her major. Sierra said that “Being involved in Business Scholars and Alpha Phi has helped me get involved on-campus, but becoming a part of the executive boards have helped me learn about both of the organizations and appreciate them more. I’ve enjoyed taking a larger role in both the organizations.” Through these unique programs, Sierra was able to discover her strengths, meet students with similar goals and interests, and find possible career paths.Â
