Over the past weekend, I was lucky enough to take the MUSS Bus to San Francisco to watch the Utah vs. Stanford game. For any students who are in the MUSS, I highly recommend going on the trip. It’s only $250 for transportation, 2 nights hotel stay, and your ticket to the game. It is an AWESOME deal if you ask me!
The MUSS Bus took off on a Thursday night and made the 12-hour (yes, it was a long ride) trek to San Francisco. The University Credit Union hooked the students up with drawstring bags filled with a $10 gift card, travel blanket, and snacks, which was an awesome surprise.
Friday morning, the bus arrived in San Francisco. San Fran is seriously such a beautiful place. The hotel that we stayed at was in Fisherman’s Wharf. For those who don’t know San Francisco well, that is a really great location. You are right on the water, and next to Pier 39 where there are several great shops and restaurants. On Friday, we had free time to explore San Francisco and all that the city has to offer. So many cool places, shops, and great restaurants and bars.
On Saturday, the bus loaded up to Palo Alto to watch the Utes take on the Cardinals at Stanford Stadium. Stanford’s campus seriously looks like it is from a movie. It is in a picture-perfect area nestled in the trees. Another great surprise was that our tickets to the game included a ticket to the Utah Alumni Tailgate. The tailgate included a DJ, a raffle, free Utes gear, a bar, and the best part… free food. On top of all that, the game was super exciting and Utah beat Stanford!
We traveled back to Utah on the bus on Sunday morning. I was so sad to leave! This trip was such a great experience and I really recommend to any student that you should take the MUSS Bus to a game. They hook you up in every way possible, it’s a great deal, and such a fun time!
