Ski season is fast approaching and if you haven’t already bought your season pass now is the time! The 2002 Winter Olympics were held in Salt Lake City for a reason, the Utah Olympic Park can be spotted on your drive up to resorts and truly reminds you that Utah does have the best snow on Earth.
Here are the top 5 resorts that you should check out this winter
Brighton
This resort has some awesome terrain for newer skiers & boarders and they also offer night skiing! There are definitely a lot more younger kids at Brighton but if you stay off the bunny hill it gets better.
Solitude
If you hate waiting in lines or trying to maneuver through people then Solitude is the place for you. Solitude offers a massive resort with what feels like hardly anyone on the mountain.
Alta
Shout out to all my collegiate skiers! This is the place for you if you don’t like snowboarders on the same run as you. It may be a little snobby, but the snow stays fresh and the only people cutting you off are other skiers.
Snowbird
This resort is always first to open last to close so you know you will get use out of that season pass. Snowbird has a lot of runs to keep even the most skilled skier challenged.
Park City Mountain Resort
Park City resort offers a ton of things! There is everything from amazing food, easy access to downtown, to some of the best skiing. This resort is great for people from out of town it really appeals to tourists because its so accessible.
The University of Utah has two great on campus clubs that give amazing discounts for season passes. One Love and the Freeskier Society, check these sites out before you buy your season pass! Happy skiing, collegiettes!
