New Years Resolutions are probably already in the back of your mind but now that it is 2017 and school is in full swing, it’s time to start doing things to make sure you are relaxed and unstressed. Here are some simple things that you can do to unclutter your life and get ready for everything that the rest of this New Year is going to bring.
1. Clear Out Your Closet
Let’s be real, we all have a closet and a chairdrobe that are taking over our lives. It happens. Take some time to go through your clothes and figure out what you actually wear, and what you don’t. It might surprise you how big of a give away pile you end up with!
2. Make Your Bed Everyday
Being motivated to make your bed everyday can be a nuisance, but it is definitely worth it. Making your bed will make your mornings seem more under control and get you ready for a productive day.
3. Clean Out Your Makeup Bag
If you are anything like me, your makeup bag can get gross AF. Going through all of your makeup and brushes to decide what is still good and what you should throw away is important. Using old makeup is bad for you because it has built up bacteria and can make you break out.
4. Get a Planner and Actually Use It
Using a planner can make college 100 times easier. It gives you a place to keep track of ALL of your assignments, meetings and coffee dates. It takes a second to get used to writing all of these things down, but eventually you won’t know how you lived without one.
5. Delete All Your Unwanted E-mails
Signing up to get deals from all of your favorite stores sent to your email seems like a wonderful idea in the beginning, but when you have thousands of emails in your inbox you might regret it. Unsubscribe to all of the places that you don’t care about anymore and when you find an important email, make a folder for it. Then…start deleting! This can take a while, but DO IT. You will feel so much less stressed when you have less than 100 emails in that inbox.
