We all get into ruts of everyday college life. School, study, work, repeat. It gets old real fast.  It’s important to make time to get away, even if it is just for the weekend. A small trip can be just what you need to recharge. Her Campus Utah wants to make your life easier, so we’ve found some great mini vacay spots that are easy and affordable.  Grab some friends, get some snacks, and pack the car because you’re going on a road trip!

Lava Hot Springs, ID

This is a great mini vacay spot because it can be enjoyed all year round. Hotels in the area cost around $90 a night. Split between a few friends and it’s pretty cheap!

Moab, UT

There’s no denying Moab is absolutley gorgeous. It’s a good place if you’re looking for an outdoors trip. There’s a bunch of different activities to do here including bike trails, hiking trails, and camping spots.

Lake Powell, UT

You may want to wait until the weather warms up a bit more, but Lake Powell is also a great outdoor location. There are many different water activities to do here including kayaking and paddle-boarding.

Denver, CO

If you’re looking for a city vacation and have a little bit more time (like Spring Break), roadtrip to Denver. From Salt Lake to Denver it’s about an 8 hour drive. Hostels in Denver usually range anywhere from $20-$70 a night. It just depends on which type of accommodations you prefer. Denver is a great city with lots to do and has a cool nightlife!

Happy traveling collegiettes!
