Gifts For Your College Student at Every Price Point (part 1: up to $25)

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UTM chapter.

Under $10

For your student that hates laundry: Febreeze

While I don’t recommend encouraging behavior…. If your student hates doing laundry, but doesnt want to smell bad febreze clothing refresher runs at about $5 and lets your student get an extra wear or two out of their favorite pair of jeans before laundry day.

For your student with an extra small dorm room: Double hook by Command

Command Hooks are a staple of every dorm room, but these ones are even better than your average decorating hooks. Priced at about $9, these double hooks have a coat rack appearance and come in a variety of colors to match any dorm aesthetic.

For your student who loves to eat: Cookbook

Whether your student likes to cook, or just doesn’t know how to, a cookbook is the perfect gift. Cookbooks are even available for microwave only recipes! Simple ones run at about $8 (although more expensive ones are available) and will give your student more dinner options than mac and cheese or minute rice.

$10 – $25

For your forgetful student: Tile Sport Tracker

This awesome gift can be found on Amazon for $23 and is perfect for the college student who is always losing things. These trackers come in a pack of 2 and have a range of 200 feet. The time app can ring anything your student loses with a tracer on it… and the trackers can ring a lost phone with the push of a button.

For your “over 21” student: Insulated Wine Glass

You can find “to go” wine glasses just about anywhere that sells tumblers or glassware these days, but the Corkcicle wine glass can be found on amazon for about $25. It has a spill resistant lid and keeps wine at just the right temp… for much longer than it will take to finish the glass.

For your movie, book or travel lover: Scratch off posters

Scratch off posters are the perfect gifts for almost anyone & most run about $25. The most popular scratch off posters are definitely scratch off maps (which come in US state maps as well as world maps). They give your student the ability to show off their travels nonchalantly to anyone who visits their room! Scratch off posters with about 100 books or movies to scratch off are also available.

I am a pre-vet major who loves to laugh (especially at myself), drink coffee, and spend time with my dog, Cora. I moved from Massachusetts to Tennessee to attend college at UTM and compete for their division 1 rifle team.
