The most romantic holiday of the year is here (tomorrow to be exact)! You and the one that means the most to you will want to celebrate. Dinner dates and movies can be fun but there are many other options to make this day special and anything but an ordinary date night. Here are a couple  ideas you and your partner can do together to spice up the day and make it more memorable.
Â
Start the day with a hike
If the two of you are feeling a little adventurous and don’t feel like sleeping in like most weekends, start the day with a hike and fresh air. This is a good time to take some cute selfies or pictures together surrounded around the beautiful scenery!
Â
Surprise Dinner
Cook him his favorite dish! Surprise him when he gets back home at night with a romantic dinner all set up. Set the mood with candles, music, and incense. I personally also love essential oil vaporizers! This is a good way to show him you care for him and is a nice personal touch. Don’t forget to whip up something sweet for after dinner! Sweets are always fun on Valentines Day.
Â
Dress up
It’s Valentine’s Day, so this is the perfect excuse to make a trip to Victoria secret and treat yourself to some new lingerie- maybe red or pink for the theme! An added bonus it it will also be a gift he will love too. If the two of you are going out for dinner at night, maybe buy yourself a cute new red dress. And don’t forget to pamper yourself; which means shaving your legs, spray on some sweet perfume, lather lotion all over, the whole nine yards.
Â
At home spa night
A fun way to end the night could be a at home spa night. Get the tub running, set candles around the tub, and some lavender salts for a yummy scent. Girls, you can put on a face mask and then the two of you can just soak in the tub and relax together.
Â
Cook together/ Cooking class-
One thing my boyfriend and I like to do together is cook different meals such as pork tenderloin, spaghetti, or Alfredo. Make it extra special on Valentines Day and pick up a bottle of red wine to drink and enjoy with the dinner the two of you cook together! If neither of you are confident in the kitchen another option could also be attending a cooking classes. Where the two of you can take course with a chef and a set menu. Sur la Table offers a Valentine’s Day themed cooking class, and you can catch my boyfriend and I there this year! It is a fun learning experience with a yummy ending.
Â
Small Get Away-
San Antonio may have many fun places to visit and many things to do, but if the two of you want a change of scene a fun little get away is always a fun option! Major cities such as Houston, Dallas, and Austin are all driving distances away- the two of you can get a hotel for the night, get to know a new city together and maybe even try a “hole in the wall” restaurant together. Or if you are somewhere else, go somewhere a little outside of the city to enjoy too!
