Watching football and eating are two things that America does best. I don’t even like football but the Super Bowl is still fun for me because I know I’ll have 4 hours to shove cheeseballs down my gob. It’s also a good way to kick back with your friends now that the semester is revving up. Here are the best snacks that will make your Super Bowl watch party great, even if you’re watching on a laptop in a dorm.
Totino’s Pizza Rolls
A Super Bowl staple! I love a good pizza roll. They sometimes burn your mouth, but it’s totally worth it. And, the SNL Totino’s skit is still one of the funniest things I’ve watched.
(This would be me)
Cheese Balls
As I said in the introduction… I love cheese balls. I’m VERY aware of their weird aftertaste. Does it stop me from, quote, “shoving them down my gob”? No. It does not. I love cheese balls and their greasy orange remains on my fingers and the corners of my mouth.
Boneless Wings
My friend and I just had a discussion about this today. Boneless wings are the superior wing. On-the-bone wings are messy and a waste of meat! You can never get all of the meat off the bone! They require 80 paper towels, a hand wipe, and some chapstick afterward. Meanwhile, boneless wings are all the fun with none of the work or mess. They can even be eaten with a fork, which makes everything so much easier. We’re not Neanderthals! We can use utensils! I pay hard-earned money for someone to debone those wings for me and I’m gonna love them to the end of time.
Ruffles Chips
I don’t know why, but you can’t have a watch party without Ruffles chips. It’s just the way the world works. Newton actually had a 4th law, which was “every party must have Ruffles chips.” We don’t question his physics, and we’re definitely not going to question his party tips. The family sized bag is the way to go, obviously, even if you’re watching the game by yourself.
Mini-Cupcakes
Throw something sweet into the snack selection! The best thing about mini-cupcakes is feeling like you can eat 27 because they’re mini. You can usually find them in your favorite team’s colors too, so bring on the cupcake festivities!
For reference, here are instructions to Kroger (not sponsored, I just appreciate my Kroger card)
