In recent months, Elf makeup has gotten some craze with the help of TikTok. However, the hype Elf has gotten for its inexpensive products, that work quite well, is definitely well deserved. Every product I have tried that served as a “dupe” from a more high end product has worked equally well if not better.
Especially with being a first-year college student with no income, (R.I.P my parents pockets and mine too tbh) having store bought brand makeup products that don’t make me break out profusely and also make me look like I have super high-end makeup on is definitely something that is needed. It’s also super nice to spend on cheaper makeup that I use daily so I don’t have to worry about needing to save a ton of money when I need to replenish my products.
I’m definitely no makeup expert, but I honestly think Elf has such amazing products to use especially if you’re in the same position as me. Elf has definitely helped me save a ton of money and I think it’s super amazing to have the hype around it so there can be popular and affordable products for us baddies on a budget to use.
So, without further ado here are some of my favorite Elf makeup products that I’ve used and what products they remind me of.
Elf Halo Glow
The Elf Halo Glow product has definitely got to be one of my favorites they’ve released, and honestly I love this entire line. As many of you may heard the line is similar to the Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter line. In my personal opinion it works just as well and it’s so much cheaper. The one thing I will note about this specific product is that it doesn’t really work for coverage like a foundation, but instead gives your skin a bit of a glow.
Glow Reviver Lip Oil
This might be my favorite product by Elf. They just released their lip oil just recently for only $8, and let me just say, if you don’t want to spend $40 on a singular lip oil, look no further because Elf has got your back. This lip oil is super hydrating and keeps my lips shiny for a good amount of time as well. It also isn’t sticky at all.
Squeeze Me Lip Balm
I am definitely an Aquaphor or a simple Vaseline girly, but after trying this product, it’ll definitely be somewhere in my rotation. This totally reminds me of the Summer Friday lip balm, but for only $4!. This also keeps my lips super moisturized.
Elf Power Grip Primer
I totally thought people were bluffing when they said this product is a miracle worker, but they were not. Before a super heavy makeup night, I always use this and I can say two things for sure: first, I never break out when I use this, second, my makeup lasts all night long. With that said what else could you ask for out of a primer?
Elf 16HR Camo Concealer
I used to be a Tarte concealer girly, but of course budgeting got in the way of that a bit. However, after using this product I don’t ever see myself going back. This concealer lasts me my entire school day and even stays on while I work out. It doesn’t crease or sweat off very easily and it has amazing coverage. Did I mention it’s only $7?
