Do you find yourself spending more time looking for good podcasts than actually listening to them? I have felt this struggle and so I compiled a list of three of my favorite podcasts.Â
Crying In Public is a weekly podcast hosted by four 20 year old college women living in NYC. In this podcast, there’s no distinction between what’s public and what’s private: everything is on the table. What I love most about this podcast is that it feels like a Facetime call; it’s almost as if I’m getting caught up with my close gal pals. So although this isn’t a super intellectual podcast, it’s crazy interesting. As Crying In Public women love to say, “sh*t happens, so cry about it.”
Another podcast I’ve been loving recently is Real Pod hosted by Victoria Garrick. This podcast is all about mental health and fostering body positivity. Garrick sits down with all sorts of interesting guests like pro athletes and famous TikTockers to bring you very real and raw conversations around success, failure, the self, and life in general. This podcast is incredibly uplifting, especially for women who are constantly plagued with unrealistic standards.Â
If you’re looking for something a little more educational, I would recommend the TED Talks Daily. Instead of the normal hour long podcast format, these are usually 10-15 minutes packed full of information brought to you by leading experts in their fields. You hear about every subject imaginable – from artificial intelligence to zoology. This podcast allows you to get curious and learn something new without having to commit to an hour long ordeal.Â
Next time you’re walking to class, or need something engaging for a long car ride, try out one of these amazing podcasts – you won’t regret it!Â
